Why Monthly Web Maintenance?
April 22, 2023Why Hire a Graphic Designer
May 10, 2023After I've designed a logo, my clients wonder what the different file formats mean and how to use them. Let me explain a bit more.
There are two basic types of logos and they are vector or rasterized. In an earlier blog I share the differences, click here. Basically vector is more desirable because it can be resized to as big as a building or as small as a business card. The EPS and PDF logos that I create are vector.
From the vector logo I create the rasterized versions which are images of the logo. They are used mostly for web purposes, or Word doc logos. The PNG file formate has a transparent background and the JPG has a white background.
There are many sizes for the PNG and JPG files. I provide a medium size in my logo package. Let me know if you need a larger size.
From the vector logos colors can be changed usually from full color to a simple black or white depending on the usage.
The logo package includes the vector EPS and PDF plus a rasterized JPG and PNG file formats. From these basic formats any logo you may need can be created like your Facebook logo or Instagram logo.
Keep these logos safe with your business assets. Click here for "What are my Business Marketing Assets?" information.
